Good afternoon, Rick...
The word "gorgeous" is often used as slang in our culture to describe almost anything--from food, pets, some women, weather...you get the idea. However, the primary meaning of the word "gorgeous" is "brilliantly colored; "therefore I limit its use to sunsets and certain species of fish...and a very select group of mounted fish...reproductions done by the talented artists you work with.
Now... on to numbers 3 and 4...

Hey, Rick
I went to visit the guys and pick up the remake of my 5 pound brook. The mount turned out better than I expected! By now I know the caliber of work they do but I am still always amazed everytime I go in to pick up the trout. Anyways thanks again and to the brothers. (I'm starting to feel like a regular customer now)...Hope I get a 6 pounder this May for you guys.

Rick,
The Mackinaw Mount has arrived and it is a work of art. I’ve convinced my wife that it should be placed at the center of the fireplace in the living room and not in the den as she had originally wanted. A victory for all guys everywhere! Thanks again and I’ll keep you in mind for that trophy Bull Trout Mount in 2009!

Rick,
The mount arrived today just like you said. I would just like to thank you for this awesome mount. You guys really helped recreate that moment by providing me this fabulous looking trophy. Hopefully in the near future, I will be fortunate enough to hook up with another lunker for you guys to mount. I would also like to say the crate in which the mount came in was very secure and arrived in perfect condition. Thanks again for this awesome recreation.

Hi Rick,
I wanted to take the time today to personally thank you for recreating my memory of a great day of fishing. The mount that you have made for me is far more realistic that I had hoped for. Due to the poor photography by my fishing companion I was worried that the mount would not live up to my expectations. Thanks to you taking the time to talk with me at length about what I remember about the day and the detailed questions that you asked me I now have a mount that perfectly matches my minds eye of what the fish looked like. I am a COMPLETELY satisfied customer and I will not hesitae to your services again if I'm ever so lucky to catch a bigger trout!
Kind regards,
Garrick C.

Hi Rick,
We did receive the mount the Friday before Father's Day, safe and sound. It was perfect timing, as it was waiting for us at the door after I took the folks for a day drive around the wilderness to Scott's Valley. He was like a kid at Christmas and couldn't wait to open the box. Thanks very much!! It's a great job and Dad is really pleased.
Thanks again Rick,
Doc R.

Good Afternoon Boys,
I just wanted to thank you guys again for the incredible job you did on my Brown Trout. I have seen a lot of mounts over the years, and I can tell you that your work is superior to all of them. If I can get my other fish back from ****** Fish Mounts, I’ll have you guys work on that one also. Thanks Again,
David K.

Dear Rick,
I went to pick up the 4lb. brookie today, and I want to say that I am more then impressed by how the mold came out of the actual fish and the detail it captured. The paint job matches the picture I supplied to you guys to perfection. I can not thank the guys enough for an unbelievable job.

Hello Rick,
Yes, the mount arrived and we love it! It was dropped off Friday and hung over my fireplace Saturday morning. The size and colors are accurate, and the details and realism are outstanding. I also like the slight twist in his body, which gives him an even more natural look. We've had other fish replicated, and you really did a great job. My father was down to see it today, and will be sending you a pic of his brook trout soon. We are very pleased with your work, and look forward to doing business with you again.
Sincerely, Jill H.

Dear Rick,
I liked the mount you did for me. I would recommend your work to any of my friends. Thank you.

Hi Rick,
For my first fish mount I wanted something that would look really good on the wall and be proud to show my friends and family when they come over. After receiving my mount I was absolutely pleased with the quality of work and the way it turned out. You have recreated a great memory and day I will enjoy for a lifetime. Hopefully I can get a big brown this season and use you again.
Thanks, Bruce V.

Rick,
Thanks for doing a top notch job on my Trout. The remarks from my friends are unbelievable. The wooden box that it was shipped was very professional and kept it from any damage. Hope to get another prize fish for you to mount for me again.
Thanks, Tom F.

Hey Rick,
I went to pick up the cutthroat today and man was I blown away by the mount! I have been on your website more times then I can count and checking out the pictures of the fish and they look awesome, but seeing them in person is a hundred times better. I just want to thank the guys for creating such an impressive workmenship on my particular mount. I can't wait to see what the brook trout looks like after they mold and paint it! Thanks again.

Rick,
Hi ! I hope everything is going good for you. I received the trout yesterday. Two words; Absolutely Fantastic! I am so happy with the mount. The colors are great and the workmanship is excellent. I wanted to personally thank you so very much. It's not the largest trout but it is very special to me. I wouldn't change it for anything. Even my wife was truely amazed at the lifelike appearance of the mount. I look forward to doing business with you again, if I'm fortunate enough to ever catch a trout for mounting. It would have to be a little larger next time. Thanks!

It is really nice Rick. Thank you very much! I will hang it proudly, and seeing it reminds me of the day I caught that great fish!

We
specialize in trophy trout taxidermy. Take a look around
the web and I think you will agree that our trout mounts simply
are the best!
I have
had a fascination with fish taxidermy for the last 30 years.
When I moved to Bend in 1995, I was surprised at the quality
of fish mounts I saw in the Central Oregon area.

Skin mounts seem to be the “norm”
here and I believe that they are an inferior product to
the fiberglass reproductions I was used to seeing. It is
hard to beat the realism of molding your fish. It brings
out all the details, even down to the scales. In the skin
mount process, the skin is stretched over a stock, foam,
body form that may or may not represent your actual fish.
Another advantage is that the fiberglass reproduction will
last indefinitely while the skin mounts often deteriorate
over time.

Rick’s Trophy Mounts is an agent
for a company in Southern California with over 30 years
experience in producing some of the finest fish reproductions
in the western United States. They have done several world
and state record fish. Please view our photo gallery for
examples of our fine artisanship.
In processing your catch for the taxidermist, wet a towel
or cloth and cover the fish in an ice chest or container
large enough to keep the fish flat. DO NOT cover the fish
with ice. This can damage the body. Your goal is to keep
the fish moist and cool. As soon as possible, get the fish
to us or freeze it after wrapping it carefully with a clinging
freezer wrap like Glad. DO NOT wrap in the wet cloth. Allow
at least 4 days in the freezer. It is best to lay the fish
in the freezer on something smooth and flat like cardboard.
This will prevent grill marks from imprinting in the fish.

If you are inclined to release your catch
which we recommend most of the time, we have a catalog of
molds and can reproduce your fish using your photograph
to capture the details of your catch. All we need is an
approximate weight and length. Either way we can supply
you with a museum quality, fiberglass reproduction that
will last a lifetime and remind you of that special moment. If we use your fish, there will be extra
shipping charges to prepare and ship the fish for processing.
This can vary depending on the weight and length of the
fish. If a mold is used, there is no shipping fee. A minimum
$25 return shipping fee applies on all fish. Our rate is $16 an inch and our lead-time
runs from four to six months.
We can also do repairs and
repaints. Call me at (514) 480-1570 or e-mail me for more details..

would love to help you catch that lunker and mount it for
you too”
