Fishing Report 8-10-05

Just so all of you who read my reports regularly will know that I'm not padding my reports, I have to say that East Lake is finally slowing down from the torrid pace it had been on. The Thomson family from Michigan had contacted me prior to their vacation trip to Sunriver. We had agreed to take their two sons for a half day trip to East to pursue some browns.

We got on the water at 6:30 a.m. and starting working my most productive area on the lake. I wasn't seeing the numbers of fish that we had in the past few weeks but we hung in there. The 6 fish we hooked ranged from 13-18 in. and are the size of browns that are very average for East Lake. I guess I have become pretty jaded by what we had been catching the last few trips out. It will be interesting to see if the pattern changes or we are just in a lull.

I have a brown trip and possibly a kokanee trip next week so look for current reports to follow.......

Tight Lines, Rick
