Bill Amerongen is an old friend living in Bend since the early 90’s. We first met at East Lake around 1995 and found out we were both enamored with pursuing big brown trout. That cemented our relationship. Bill has been playing around with rod building for several years and then two years ago got serious and started his baby, www.highlinercustomrods.com He has done a few re-wraps for me and then this year did a custom 7’ GLoomis flat line rod.
